Mattuthavani / M.G.R. Bus Stand
Mattuthavani, also commonly identified as M.G.R. Bus Stand, is a major terminus away from the old-city sightseeing cluster. It suits many intercity arrivals, but continuing to the temple or central stay generally requires an onward transfer.
Periyar and Arappalayam
Periyar is a central-city reference point and can be adaptable for old-city plans. Arappalayam is a distinct western-side terminus. Service patterns can change: neither name should be inferred from the destination “Madurai” alone.
